Goal: Successfully create a LinkedIn page for your company or client.

Ideal Outcome: You will create a new LinkedIn company page and successfully set it up for growth and engagement.

Prerequisites or requirements: You need to have a personal LinkedIn account and a few criterias met. Refer to Prerequisites for setting up a LinkedIn company page for more details.

Why this is important: A LinkedIn company page allows your business to promote products and services, grow your company brand, recruit new talent, and engage with your community.

When this is done: When you plan to grow your client or your business’ online presence on LinkedIn.

Who does this: Marketing manager or business owner.

  1. You need to have a personal LinkedIn account. Click here to sign up if you don’t have one.
  2. If you have just signed up for a new personal LinkedIn account, you need to wait 7 days before you sign up for a company page.
  3. Your personal LinkedIn account needs to be at an intermediate or all star level. If you have not reached that level yet, follow LinkedIn’s recommended guidelines to upgrade your profile’s level.
  4. Your personal account needs to have several first degree connections. In other words, you need to start connecting with at least a few people on LinkedIn.
